Applied Energetics

Protecting America's Soldiers and Military Hardware from Drone Strikes

About this Event

Applied Energetics [OTCQB: AERG] specializes in optical fiber-based ultrashort pulse (USP) laser technologies for countering drones, ISR sensors, hypersonic weapons, and other applications. With 27 patents and 8 patents pending, Applied Energetics’ proprietary architecture enables orders of magnitude size-weight-power reductions, a key differentiator versus traditional continuous wave (CW) laser technology with larger footprints.

Ultrashort pulse lasers deliver intense bursts of energy – up to 50 billion watts – and can be directed precisely at targets at significant distances. This is enough energy to destroy optical and infrared sensors in less than a second. One of the first applications for this technology is to protect military assets and personnel from drones.

Drones have become increasingly common tools on the battlefield for both surveillance and as weapons. The need to find ways to neutralize the threat they pose is now a priority for the United States Military. Applied Energetics’ USPL design is about the size of two shoeboxes. It can be powered by the electrical system of a vehicle like a Humvee and will be rugged enough to stand up to battlefield use.

Applied Energetics the first company with the potential to bend the technology adoption curve for directed energy in the marketplace. The global directed energy weapons market expected to grow at 19% CAGR to $17.8 billion by 2028; Counter-Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) market expected to grow at 17% CAGR to $6.8 billion by 2030.

Register today to join our Fireside Chat with Applied Energetics CEO, Chris Donaghey, and Glenn Mattson, Vice President for Equity Research at Ladenburg/Thalmann for an update on how the DoD is working with Applied Energetics to develop their USPL technology as a defense against small drones in the battlefield.
