Soteria

Precision Medicine For Every Service Man and Woman

About this Event

They go to war for us. Now it’s time for us to fight for them.

500,000 active duty service people have been diagnosed with cancer since 9/11 and 50,000 veterans are diagnosed with cancer each year. Navy SEALs account for just 3% of the Naval population, yet SEALs account for 36.7% of all cancers in the entire Navy. Their care programs, however, are lacking. This leaves a patient and their family members to navigate a very complex and emotional journey alone.

Soteria Precision Medicine Foundation has developed a patient navigation program to improve cancer care for the Special Operations Forces community by deploying sophisticated high-tech, high-touch, best-in-class precision medicine systems. Soteria has partnered with Exact Sciences and TGen, industry leaders in genomic testing and translational analytics. Now they need our help to launch this mission by providing the financial resources that will help these heroes win their battles with cancer.

Please watch this important online event with Julia Civardi, Soteria co-founder and CEO, and Chief Community Officer, retired Navy Seal, and Cancer Survivor, Capt. Rob Newsom, to help Soteria ensure better outcomes and quality of life for those who have served and continue to serve our country.
