Applied Energetics

Retired DoD Acquisition Specialist Joins AERG Advisory Board

About this Event

Applied Energetics, Inc. (“AE”) (OTCQB:AERG), the leader in ultrashort pulse laser systems (USPL), recently announced the appointment of Brigadier General (Retired) Samuel “Luke” Peterson to its Advisory Board. BG(Ret) Peterson has nearly 35 years of distinguished military service and senior-level acquisition experience across the U.S. Department of Defense, including leadership roles in some of the Army’s most critical modernization initiatives.

Most recently, BG(Ret) Peterson served as Program Executive Officer for Combat Support & Combat Service Support (PEO CS&CSS), where he led a team of over 1,100 personnel managing a portfolio of 248 acquisition programs with annual budgets exceeding $3 billion. He is expected to contribute to Applied Energetics’ efforts and accelerate the deployment of their technologies to protect U.S. warfighters and safeguard national security.

“We are honored to welcome BG(Ret) Luke Peterson to our Advisory Board,” said Chris Donaghey, CEO of Applied Energetics. “His extraordinary leadership, deep acquisition expertise, and hands-on experience delivering next-generation capabilities to the battlefield are perfectly aligned with our mission to rapidly develop and field game-changing USPL and directed energy solutions for the Department of Defense.”

Applied Energetics is a pioneer in photonic and fiber-based laser technology. They are developing the next generation of USPL for the Department of Defense and national security applications. Ultrashort pulse lasers deliver intense bursts of energy – up to 50 billion watts – and can be directed precisely at targets at significant distances. This is enough energy to destroy optical and infrared sensors in less than a second. One of the first applications for this technology is to protect military assets and personnel from drones.

Register today to watch this Fireside Chat with Applied Energetics CEO, Chris Donaghey and retired Brigadier General Peterson, as they discuss the proliferation of technology on the battlefield.
